For a guy who wrote 'Reservoir Dogs' (featuring an all male cast), Quentin Tarantino has been making up for it since with strong female protagonists.
And there's none stronger than The Bride, aka Beatrix Kiddo, aka a Q&U creation.
The 'U' part is, of course, Uma Thurman, who has never been better as the single-minded, athletic killing machine.
She's one woman on a mission and is as adept at swinging a sword as she is in suggesting The Bride's inner turmoil.
