'Big Brother' contestant Shahbaz Chauhdry has threatened to kill himself in the house.
The 37-year-old - who has angered his housemates with his attention-seeking antics - revealed his plan after rowing with fellow contestants.
He said the reality TV show was his "curtain call".
Jobless Shahbaz told his housemates: "I'm a dead man walking. I came to die on this programme - I'm going to prove it."
Hours after the argument - which was sparked when Shahbaz called Lisa an "imbecile" and suggested she was too drunk to complete a task - the housemate disappeared into the Diary Room and stayed there for three hours.
It's thought show bosses may have arranged for a psychologist to talk to him while he was in the room.
A show spokeswoman is quoted in Britain's Daily Star newspaper as saying: "The housemates are screened by professionals to ensure they are psychologically strong enough to cope."
