Shane Richie's 'Carry On' role

Former 'EastEnders' actor Shane Richie is set to star in the latest 'Carry On' film.

The 42-year-old will join Vinnie Jones and Playboy pin-up Victoria Silvstedt in 'Carry On London', which is the 32nd film in the comedy series.

Shane will play the manager of a limousine firm which drives stars to A-list events in the capital.

Victoria will play one of the celebrities who rides in Shane's limo on the way to the Herberts - a British version of America's Academy Awards - while Vinnie stars as a feared gangster.

Shane is quoted in Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "I grew up with the 'Carry On' movies and was thrilled to be asked to star in the new film."

Film bosses are rumoured to have approached 'Celebrity Big Brother' winner Chantelle about appearing in the movie.

Filming is due to start this summer.
