Teri Hatcher is earning a staggering £150,000 per episode, following a successful first series of 'Desperate Housewives'.

The former Bond girl has been rewarded for signing up to a second series of the hit show with an incredible 650 per cent pay rise.

In the series first run, the screen beauty was pocketing a "meagre" £20,000 for each hour-long show.

But now 40-year-old Teri, who plays single mum Susan Mayer, has become the show's star - even scooping a Golden Globe last month for her performance.

A show source said: "Teri has blossomed into the star of the show. Men find her sexy and women identify with her."

Meanwhile, her co-stars Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman and Nicolette Sheridan, who used to earn just £970 for each episode, will see their pay cheques increase too.

All five actresses have also been rewarded with a new car.(c) BANG Media International
