Evangeline Lilly covers up the mirrors in her house - because she is paranoid about how she looks.

The stunning actress, who plays fugitive Kate in hit US series 'Lost', says since starring in the hugely popular show she has become extremely self-conscious over her appearance and constantly finds flaws with her body.

She told Britain's Reveal magazine: "I've never felt so stressed or conscious of how I look. If you walk into my bathroom, the mirror is covered by a sarong. I just want to forget what I look like when I get home."

It is not the first time Lilly has confessed she is paranoid about her figure.

The brunette actress, who is dating her 'Lost' co-star Dominic Monaghan, revealed she "kicked up a real fuss" when show bosses asked her to shoot a semi-nude scene in the first episode of the series.

She was so adamant she wouldn't strip for the cameras she demanded the script be re-written.

Lilly said at the time: "When we came to shoot the scene it had been re-written for me to be in a tank top and underwear and I really appreciate that they made it more modest."
