Matt Damon says he could return to the role of amnesiac secret agent Jason Bourne for a third film.

Matt Damon says he will return to the role of amnesiac secret agent Jason Bourne for a third film - but only if the script is good enough.

The second instalment of the series, "The Bourne Supremacy", recently topped the US box office and has currently grossed $107 million.

Damon explained to IMDb.com: "Now that the pressure has gone, I'm very happy with the way the movie came out.

"But to go and do a third one, we'd really have to have a great script."

"The Bourne Supremacy" opened in the UK on Saturday.
