This device was used by the KGB in the 1960s to listen-in on targets. The heel was fitted with a radio transmitter, microphone and batteries. The transmitter was activated by pulling out a pin from the heel.

The target then became a walking radio station, transmitting all conversations to a nearby monitoring post.
