Morgan Freeman suffered a bit of a plane crash scare after his pilot was forced to do an emergency landing.
The Hollywood legend was travelling on a private jet to film a segment for a new TV show about religion when the plane experienced serious failure just after takeoff.
TMZ.com reports that the pilot had to radio in a mayday after the jet had "significant hydraulic problems."
Morgan, 78, said: "Sometimes things don't go as planned and a tire blew on takeoff which caused other problems. But thanks to my excellent pilot Jimmy Hobson we landed safely without a scratch."
"I cannot say the same about my plane. I appreciate the concern and prayers for our safety.
This is not the first time that he experienced problems with a private jet. Last year, he was forced to land a malfunctioning plane on his way to the Toronto Film Festival.
He said: "The slats would not retract in the air,"
"On the ground they were fine, but in the air they were a problem. We were about 10 minutes in the air trying to get them to retract, but they didn't so we went back and landed.”
