In an attempt to reduce insurance claims and in turn to pay less for insurance, a forward thinking insurance company has set up added protection to their insurance service and has switched their focus from payout to prevention.
The idea is that by using smart connected home technology, they will not only provide home cover, but also preventive protection.
Co-founder, Matt Poll claims that he had had enough of people only being able to claim when something bad happened. He felt that not enough was being done to prevent these bad things from happening in the first place.
Now, for the first time, customers can from their smartphones, protect their homes from things like water, fire bad weather etc.
Neos was derived in 2016, from the co-founders combing their knowledge of smart home automation and insurance expertise.
Comprehensive home insurance, 24 hour monitoring and assistance and smart connected home technology can be managed through a smart phone app.
The company hopes that other insurance companies will follow their lead and pave the way to a future where insurance claims are greatly reduced and prevention is paramount. As a result, people will need to pay less to insure their homes.
In this year's edition of Disrupt 100, which is an index listing the businesses with the most promise of influencing and changing of global markets, Neos ranked 11th.
